GETCAB provides pre-booked airport transfers and taxi journeys from Manchester. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, app or booking line, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

What we collect
- Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, pick-up and drop-off addresses, journey date and time, passenger and luggage numbers, flight details and any notes you give us.
- Account details: if you register, your login email and your booking history.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card number.
- Messages: emails, contact-form messages, calls and reviews you send us.
- Location: if you use the location button on the booking form or in our app, your device shares its location so we can set your pick-up point.
- Website usage: pages viewed, device and browser type and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
How we use your information
- To give you a price, take your booking and carry out your journey (performance of a contract).
- To send booking confirmations, driver details and service messages about your journey (performance of a contract).
- To take payment and prevent fraud (performance of a contract and legitimate interests).
- To answer enquiries and handle complaints or lost property (legitimate interests).
- To keep the records that licensing, tax and other laws require (legal obligation).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (legitimate interests, and consent where required for cookies).
- To send offers by email or text, only where you have agreed or the law allows; you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed:
- the driver carrying out your journey, who receives your name, contact number and journey details;
- companies that help us run the service, such as our booking and dispatch system, payment provider, email and text message providers, website host and analytics providers;
- licensing authorities, the police, courts or insurers where the law requires it or to deal with a claim.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking, payment and licensing records for as long as the law requires. Other information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and is then deleted or anonymised.
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping you logged in and remembering a quote, and analytics cookies that measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the booking form may not work correctly without essential cookies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it to be transferred, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@getcab.uk.
